I'm Angie, aged 40 and live in Manchester, UK with my husband, Mark and our little American Cocker Spaniel, Charlie.
We got married in September 2012.
I used to be a nurse, but was initially diagnosed with ME in 2006 and then with Fibromyalgia in 2007 as well as severe clinical depression and a number of associated illnesses. In 2015, I contracted vasculitis (inflamed blood vessels) in my brain, which restricted blood flow. This resulted in the same effects as a stroke and has left me with a number of additional problems.
Unfortunately I am now unable to work but find that cross stitching is a huge help to my mental illness as I can lose myself and forget about everything other than those little xxxxx's! The fact that I am also creating something gives me some sense of satisfaction.
I love a number of designers, such as Joan Elliott, Ursula Michael and Mirabilia designs as well as being a lover of the large charts of Heaven and Earth Designs (HAED), Tilton Crafts, Paine Free Crafts, Gecko Rouge and Charting Creations. I like stitching cute, animal, Gothic and fantasy designs as well as female figures too.
